AN INTRODUCTION FOR NON-JEWS
“A Taste of Judaism” is a FREE seven-week class offered by Congregation Emanu-El to our non-Jewish neighbors.
Join us for ANY/all 7 classes in 2024
7PM CT on THURSDAYS (1/18 - 2/29)
Taught by our own Rabbi Michael A. Davis, the course offers a basic understanding of Jewish ideas, customs, and beliefs on topics including, but not limited to:
“What is a Bar Mitzvah, really?” and “Can (we) come to a Bat Mitzvah?”
“What do you mean ‘the holidays are early this year’? Don’t they fall on the same date each year?”
“What are some Jewish values and how are they different than Christian or Muslim values?”
“Why don’t Jews believe in Christ?”
NO prior knowledge of the Jewish faith is required and NO question or concern is unwelcome.
